Collection: Cressida Cowell Author Visit at Coldfall Primary School - 8th May 2024

On Wednesday 8th May 2024 Coldfall Primary School will be hosting internationally bestselling author-illustrator and 2019-22 Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell, creator of the How to Train Your Dragon books (which is also a film series and a TV series).

Cressida will be talking about her new book, Which Way Round the Galaxy as well as How to Train Your Dragon. She will give students tips on becoming an author or illustrator, give them behind-the-scenes details about how her books became films, and talk about her inspiration. This will be a very fun experience for the children, but we also know that reading for pleasure is the biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income (OECD).
