We're looking past the last of our Indian summer here at Pickled Towers, and are looking forward to cosy Autumn days. What could be better then, than curling up with a good book? We have selected the best new titles and recent releases, including Indie Book of the Month for September 'Tamarind and the Star of Ishta', a powerful story of loss and identity, home and family woven into a thrilling adventure. There is something to captivate the imagination of children of all ages, from toddlers to teens.
Meet the Book Fairy
At Pickled Pepper Books, our Book Fairy service puts the magic into gift-giving. Now, you can meet the Book Fairy in person, in our theatre space. A magical and unique experience that kids are sure to love! Come and meet the Book Fairy, who will work her magic to compile a personalised bundle of books based on your child's interests and reading ability. There will be cake & hot chocolate to make this a very special occasion indeed - perfect for celebrating birthdays, Christmas and more!
Book Reviews
Over the summer holidays we ran a book review competition for kids. The winner of the £30 Book Fairy voucher is Raphael, age 7. We loved reading all the entries, and will publish our pick of the best ones on the website soon!
